    Is there a glitch in Wolfenstein New Order Moon MIssion? Dpad Not Working


    I’ve been playing through Wolfenstein - The New Order on an XBox Series X. The game was downloaded via Microsoft Game Pass. After playing through all the missions up to the Moon Base level, I’ve run into an issue with using the D-pad right tab with the main weapon, the AR Marksman.

    Per the in-game instructions, pressing the right D-pad tab should toggle between the laser and regular bullets. However, the right tab has no effect and the weapon is confined to laser mode only. I also noted that the tutorial covering operating the weapon has disappeared from the tutorial menu.

    It is not a mechanical issue with the controller. I’ve tried rebooting the XBox and updating the controller firmware.

    Unfortunately, this renders the game unplayable beyond this point.

    Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

    Hi there!

    Have you checked your other games if the D-pad works normally?

    Try to connect your controller using a USB cable if it does the same thing or not. You may also try to restore your controller's configuration or button mapping to its default setting.

    Be sure as well to check your game if all contents are installed.
    In My games & apps, highlight a game (but don't select it).
    Press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game and add-ons.
    Select the game tile, and then select each checkbox for which items you want to install.
    Select Install, to confirm the installation.

    If the issue is isolated to that specific game alone, it must be a game bug. You may want to reinstall it and/or report it to the game support here https://help.bethesda.net/ for further assistance.
