Is there a fix for the old xbox wireless adapters?

My internet was randomly dropping off, seemly out of the blue. Sometimes the disconnection would be continuous and sometimes I'd go for hours without any networking problems. I started troubleshooting and noticed a new Ethernet connection on my desktop and I only have one port on my mobo. I've completely built my network so I am aware of all the devices on my home network. The odd thing is this device had no IP Address and made no attempts to work with DHCP to resolve the IP. I traced down the MAC of this device and found out it was my ol' xbox wireless adapter. After a bit of digging I learned these used 2.4Ghz WiFi to connect to controllers wirelessly. My assumption is this design provided more bandwith and reduced latency at the time and probably used a WiFi specific chipset to manage it. This is why Windows 10 now see's it as a Ethernet device, even though its a Bluetooth Adapter... that connects via 2.4Ghz... and was marketed directly for Windows 10... that it no longer works properly with. I found a thread dating back to 2018 with this same issue and no solution, has there been a Firmware fix or driver update? And please don't point me to the general xbox wireless troubleshooting page, I've restarted it, unplugged this device, ran updates, reconnected, tried other ports and other computers with the same results. I just want to know is there a fix, or are they working on a fix, or is Microsoft not supporting this device anymore and going the Apple route and want me to buy the newest adapter?

I'm afraid these things are about 15 years old, and I've never had a wifi card last that long. It's likely failing due to age first and foremost

There is no end user ability to service the device.

-Fatal the atlas is wireless to the x1 just like the others. I'm using it love it. It has a cord if you want to use it for PC or 360 or watch tv not through the xbox. Btw on the old headsets with adapter is almost painful for party members hope they fix
it soon. Atlas doesn't do this btw just old headsets with adapter.

It is? Huh. All the pictures show it with a cord. If it's wireless, how does it connect to Xbox One? Sorry, never had a wireless headset of this kind. I had an earpiece, and that was it.

Are you using wireless of wired connection? If you're using wireless with the the old version of the xbox 360(the one that doesn't come with a built in wireless adapter) try unplugging the adapter, turning off the xbox, plugging the adapter back in, then
turning on the xbox. If that does not work try connecting your sons xbox directly to the modem using an ethernet cable and see if you can connect.

If you have the money to splurge get a new Xbox 360 S or E model. But if not keep using your old one and get a wireless network adapter for it. The question is can you still get the usb wireless adapters?
