Is there a fix for the Blue Hell glitch in Just Cause 3?

Basically, I'll be flying around with the Bavarium Wingsuit, and then when I try to land I fall through the ground. More than half the large island is affected. I've asked about this on two other message boards and searched Google and Bing and can't get
anyone to help me. I really wish I could get an answer and don't want to give up on the game but may not have a choice. Any help would be appreciated.

Note: I also asked tech support on the Square Enix site and they never responded.

The most likely scenario is you'll have to restart the game/wipe all the save data. I had a similar thing happen with Fallout New Vegas and it like rendered the game useless until I wiped all the save data from it... then it worked like nothing was ever
wrong. If you have it installed uninstalling and reinstalling it after clearing the local storage cache in the storage settings on the Xbox One may help. If you're on the 360, like I said you may have to wipe the data entirely.

I currently have it uninstalled (to clear room for another game). How do I clear the cache again?

I first noticed it when I was trying to unlock the Verdeleon 3.

Unable to unlock it by driving it on roads because of the glitch, I ended up dropping it down the mountain. I unlocked the Squallo X7 in similar fashion, not because of the glitch but because it was the easiest way to get it in the water.

Then, when I attempted to fast travel to get a stunt ramp, I got hit with a never ending loading screen. So I flew to it and found out the problem was major.

But, anyway, I won't be at my Xbox One again until tomorrow.

Ok, power cycle with reinstall seems to have solved the problem. Hopefully I don't enter Blue Hell again.
