Is the Xbox Series X giving me a headache?

Hello! I wasn't sure where to ask this or even what to ask, because I'm not sure what the problem even is, but maybe someone somewhere can help:

Lately I've started getting headaches while playing Xbox, and by "lately" I mean since getting a Series X in November. It almost never happened before, and now it seems like it happens more often than not when I'm trying a new game, but I can't find anything that connects the games that do or do not cause it.

It doesn't happen with Apex Legends, Battlefield V, AC: Valhalla, or Hitman 3. It does happen with Watch Dogs Legion, Cyberpunk, Outriders (a little), and the One Punch Man game. I also felt a little weird after playing MLB The Show and MK11 for a few minutes.

Most of the games that give me a headache have Series X updates, but not all of them, and some of the games that don't give me a headache do have Series X updates.

I'm using the same TV that I used with my Xbox One (which rarely gave me headaches, if ever), and I'm sitting in the same well-lit room, so I can't really figure out what would be causing this. (The TV isn't fancy or 4K, just a standard HD from a 3 years ago or so.) Basically, I'm hoping someone can figure out a common thread here or come up with some kind of setting I can change with the Series X.

Possibly useful sidenote: I got a bad headache while trying the iPhone 12, which I think was because of the screen Apple used.

I got migraines from the xbox series x..my eyes even swelled up and i ended up in the emergency room...i got ride the xbox

That's two possible epilepsy or motion sickness

Suggestion since I have motion sickness too

Either get gravol or motion sickness bracelets

Or bright up your gramma

Dark colors and fast pace scenes can cause strain that's how I alleviate it for games like alien isolation

Every game asks you to calibrate so instead of doing darker or default increase the gramma so it's brighter not darker

It wouldn't be restricted to xbox consoles but dark games or 3d graphics

I knkw I had it since snes when 3d games or VR.

i have every xbox and never has any issues with migraines , i never had a migraine in my life until i played the xbox series x , the other xbox consoles do not do this, thank you for your input

That's very interesting... I did go through the TV calibration settings for the first time recently and made some changes, but it didn't seem dramatically different.

I have my Xbox One and my Series X plugged into the same TV and I notice vast differences in the quality but also the brightness of the picture - I eventually found that I also had different picture settings on the different HDMI inputs.

Is the Xbox Series X giving me a headache?
