Is the Xbox PC app working on Windows 10 anymore?

I have a gaming laptop that runs every game I own like a dream. No issues from my side while in game. Up until last night, I could download games from the Xbox PC app, but now I can't. I tried downloading Halo infinite, Golf with Your Friends, and pre-installing High on Life, but none will actually start downloading. I have Game Pass Ultimate until May 28, 2023, so that's not the issue. I am still running Windows 10 as it is less taxing on my hardware, so can someone tell me if it's no longer supporting Windows 10?

EDIT:

It says "preparing", but either never moves past that or stops the entire process altogether.

I didn't mention that you need windows 11, my friend.

You can stay on windows 10 without any problem =)

Derek, the last 4 digits of my OS are 2251. I have no new Windows 10 updates, only the Windows 11 upgrade. If the only way to get my games to download on the Xbox Desktop app is to upgrade to Windows 11, then I'm uninstalling it and switching to Steam fully.

Go to your windows update and click on get updates

After updating

See which version is your windows this way, and tell me

The version consists of 4 digits

And then go to the Microsoft Store, select More > Downloads & updates > Get updates.

Update everything in both places, and let me know if it works

Tell me what appears in this test please. Download the companion xbox console app > settings > network > NAT type

And connectivity

Right click on the Start Menu icon

> Select Windows PowerShell (admin)

> On the screen that opens, type:

Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

(make sure you don't leave any spaces before or after the command) and press Enter

> Wait for the process to complete

> Restart your PC

> See if the problem persists

After doing everything except upgrading to Windows 11, it still won't work. I don't know why it's so hard to just allow us to play games on Windows 10! Most people don't like Windows 11, so let us keep 10. Not that hard!

Dont use the companion app anymore. Use the xbox app built with windows 10. I just tried it and it works great
