Is the xbox one that comes without Kinect more powerful?

So im thinking about finally getting a xbox one, but the place im getting it from only has the one that comes with the Kinect. so I wanted to know, is the xbox one that ships without the Kinect more powerful than the one that ships with it or is it still
the exact same console. might be a dumb question but I was just wondering because I wasn't sure.

Kinect is no longer required for Xbox One

For those of us hoping for an announcement of a version of the Xbox One without the Kinect, priced at $399.99, looks like that will never happen.

New Kinect

I was trick in to buying a Kinect for 360. It has no real

great games only gimmicks. The Kinect can only track 66% of time. Unless you

are a dancing or play a fitness game it more like 90% I have only bough one

game for the Kinect. So, the xbox one has Kinect 2.0. The cooperation clam it work

beater. BUT THING IS THAT I DON’T NEED OR WANT A KINECT. So the cooperation has

NO plan to release an xbox one without a Kinect. So, during xbox one life I will

buy 75 games that don’t require Kinect. Games that require Kinect during the

life time none or two. So I can’t justify buying a Xbox one that comes with

Kinect. What this this cooperation should do is release an xbox one without a Kinect

At $375 With a bigger hard drive For the Hardcore Gamers. That my Son Will Sell

like hot cakes!

 

It is immensely more powerful without the Kinnect.. The kinect will devour and drain your console...

 

Nope, both the SKUS for the Xbox One (with Kinect and without Kinect) are exactly the same, both consoles will run games exactly the same, neither is more powerful than the other.

 

actually the one with Kinect is more powerful as it opens more features of the console, but other than that there identical.

 

As far as the inner workings (RAM, CPU, HDD), they are the exact same. As Farscape alluded to, with the way the UI is set up for the One, having the Kinect (using voice commands) makes it far easier to do some of the things.

 

Is it that games that don't require kinect put it on a kind of stand by? hence allowing the console to use the spare power?

I was at the gym the other day and saw a kinectless bench 400lbs and a with kinect bench 350lbs but kinectless he was just showing off, i recon with kinect is better but more modest.

 

As someone who owns more than one Xbox One console, I can say this... unless you feel voice commands are worth $100, there is no difference in the consoles. I have both versions. Personally, I'd take the money you save
by going kinectless and buy games with it, but then I'm one of those who could care less about voice commands. There are some really good kinectless bundles out there imo. Yesterday I grabbed the Xbox One Assassins Creed Unity Bundle. (kinectless version)
It's an awesome deal imo. It came with digital download codes for Assassins Creed Black Flag, Assassins Creed Unity, and a months worth of Xbox Live Gold. (all that for $349.00) With all that said, everyone is different. Just get what you want. That's how
I do it. Power wise, both are the same.

...the consoles that come with and without the Kinect are EXACTLY the same, except for the features that the Kinect itself provides. The games that use the Kinect may not be able to look as good or run as smooth as other games that don't use the Kinect and
can therefore use more resources, but that'll happen regardless of whether you have a Kinect or not.

My advice is to go ahead and get the Kinect sensor - it helps provide far more options and a complete package for your Xbox One experience. It's cheaper overall to get it with the console anyways and you can sell it later if you decide you don't like it
at a premium price that can compete competitively with the Kinect sensor once it releases as a stand-alone peripheral. If you don't get it, and change your mind and decide that you want it after all, you'll have to pay for a 2nd-hand sensor (potentially at
a premium price) or wait until MS releases the stand-alone version, which will likely be more than $100...

Ummm... I forgot... Some people can't take 2 seconds to type a code. lol If I want to Skype someone, I have a zillion other devices that will do it. If I twitched, I'd have even more guys bugging me on a daily basis. (this
is my way of saying it doesn't interest me) I wanted a Kinect for games. The Xbox One has failed me in that area. BTW, I love Kinect Sports, but I expected more than that from my Kinect. I've never understood why people can't accept that some peoples opinions
of things are different than theirs. It doesn't mean that they're "not getting the full picture". It means that they're smarter than you. (that sounds like something I'd say. lol)

 

^ You should try Alien Isolation Kinect adds to it immensely and its a shame more game like this dont take advantage of the Kinect capabilities. Being hunted and peeking around corners, or shrinking back into a cabinet your hiding in really adds to the
immersion and just knowing the Xeno can hear you really adds to the tension. Forza 5 headtracking is also brilliant in cockpit view, DR3 also used the Kinect to good effect along with cover peeking in BF4. Its not all voice commands.

 

Not sure why we have to try and convince people that the kinect is worth it or not ..

Its an extra 100 bucks ,,big deal..You are in an expensive hobby ,whats 100 bucks get you in terms of gaming ..A game or 2 if your lucky??

I tend to think those who don't want the kinect "just" for voice are single and or living alone..

As a family ,we LOVE it!

The kids love it and it is actually very helpful if you have children with speech and communication limitations,,,ie. it helps then pronounce and slow down ..I honestly hope someone out there will develop a game using it in a way that teaches proper pronunciation..Something
many adults could benefit from too ,i'm sure.
