Is the Xbox One Really Worth Purchasing Right Now?

I bought mine mainly for BF4 and 64 player. When BF4 plays properly then the game is great but there have been some hiccups which are fairly well documented. Part of me wishes I had waited but I had the cash to buy one so did it sooner rather than later.

 

I would say, if you have patience then wait. If you don't have patience like me then don't wait. There are some great games out right now that are worth playing and while the system has a few bugs, it's nothing that will ruin the experience. Well not for
me anyway. I've definitely had a lot more fun than frustration with the one and would highly recommend it. Although, like everyone else I certainly am looking forward to a patch to iron out the bugs.

 

With all this news about bundles coming out, I would hold off until later.

I'd be more concerned with why you didn't pick up a Gold subscription for $40. They've been on sale at various retailers for the past month.

 

I have 11 games for the ONE (that's real games, Peggle and Crimson Dragon don't count, you might not agree but you know what I mean).



The problem I have is that the games are amazing and so it's hard to play the different games because you get so into whatever you're playing.

Some people want to play all the games for the X1 so for them, yes. For me, I have to have at least 4-5 games I'm interested in before I'll buy and so far there are none. I know that will change but it may be another year. I'm rather picky about what
game I'll spend my time on.

 

Yes it is. The media features work well (for me anyways), gaming is good and just going to get better.

 

I am asking, and the reason I haven't picked up Gold is because most of the games I have been playing lately is mostly single player games and I don't see any reason to have gold when I wouldn't be using it all that much right now would just be a was of
money.

 

I am only interested in Forza 5 and Ryse Son of Rome right now.

If you have zero interest in the media aspects of the Xbox One then it would come down to if you want to play the strictly single-player games available for the console today. Titanfall isn't one of those.
Forza 5 may require Live Gold for drivitar support, but if you don't care about that I guess it'll work. Kinda lame.

 

Titanfall doesn't really interest's me, I like racing games and action/adventure games way more than first person shooters, I do like battlefield games though. But I done own Battlefield 4 already.

 

i would say the x1 is a great console yes it does have its problems but so does ps4. i myself have 11 real games as well for the x1 and then a few of the downloaded ones like KI and halo that is by far more than what ps4 has right now as of today, sure
they are planning on more but the psn network is scares for games like the x1 is, i have a friend that has told me. the argument over sony better than ms isnt true i think, sure ms came out and said what their x1 cant do and sony said the complete opposite
and heck they said right from day one with sony and most of that was a lie, to get people to buy, my friends biggest issue. asside from that the tv stuff is great, i like walking into my living room and say xbox on and my tv, cable box and entertainment system
all turn on i love my x1, love the games overall happy.

Definately you want to get Gold.



Check out online races for "Forza 5" but as far as "Ryse" is concerned you're missing out on half the game if you don't go to the Arena.



You could throw a gamesworth of money at a year long subscription but you can still pick up codes for 3 month subs and I'm sure they do 30 day as well.

No is the answer right now! i would suggest waiting and see what happens. 2014 doesn't look that brilliant right now game wise. You might want to wait till after E3 to make a decision. But still no big news of new games in 2014 only Halo 2 remake and
another Forza Horizons game. Right now the One is way too expensive for what it is, also keep following the game reviews between the PS4 and the XBOne.
