Is the XBox one Disc drive Failure overblown?

No it is a big issue as i am on my 3rd console and when you spend over $500 you expect it to work for more than a year and now i am on my 3rd in a year time , also 65% of x1 owners i know have had to send theres in for repair and its all related to the
disk drive . There are other issues also like live always having issues , gamer pics not loading the friends home page does not load always , install times are horrible and why the x1 feels like itis its own service like on the 360 you cant see x1 achivments
just the sum total and even on this site on your profile it only shows the last games you played for 360 games not x1 games . I lol at that because the other company does it right with everything conected across all platforms even there handhelds but i think
xbox is trying to do more then they can handle that why there the jack of all trades but master of none and down right bad at some .

Not very. If it was, this whole forum would be littered with threads about it. Infact, the whole Internet would be.

You will alway's hear of problems here and there, with millions of consoles sold you're bound to.

I got Xbox One at Christmas, and have played everyday.

The disk drive error has happened to me 4-5 times already.

Mine was starting to fail a few weeks after purchase last Christmas, I called Microsoft and they had me exchange it at a Microsoft store. Its been perfect for almost exactly one year.

I have to load blu-ray discs a few times to get it to recognize . So I hope mine lasts.
