Is the xbox live issue with lizard squad still going on?

As I write this, it's 1:33 am EST and I get the security error where it asks me to log in and input my info and then it gives me an error code and boots me. I just wanted to watch some netflix, but I can't even get into my account. So, are the problems still
going on? If they are, support sure isn't saying anything about it.

It's not a system issue, it's an Xbox Live issue. Xbox Live is down for everyone, they were attacked (DDoS) by a group known as Lizard Squad and are still either dealing with the attack or dealing with the ramifications of that attack.

Sure seems to be. No one can get online atm.

 

There may be a way to bypass the hack by using a vpn. Get on for your 360 on your PC or laptop, connect your 360 to your PC or laptop using an Ethernet cable. Whilst signed out of Xbox live start your vtn and connect your Xbox to it then signe in. It should
be under connection 2. Try this see if it works. I'd do it but I don't have an Ethernet cable.

 

I'm in the UK, was having problems 3 hours ago but have for the last 2 hours been able to get online, havent tried ant multiplayer but there were 3 people on my friends list also online on their 360s.

 

Still cannot use most online content here on the east coast at 3:19 am

 

I just got done talking with support. Go to system settings -> Storage -> highlight your drive (don't click on it) -> Hit Y -> Clear System Cache 3x -> Turn your XBOX off and on, and try it. It worked for me.

 

1:34am here, and after 6+ hours was just now able to sign on after the proofs.

I hope it starts kicking for everyone now.

 

It let's me connect but anytime I try to launch a game or even try to get on netflix, it freezes my xbox, still. I went to bed around 10pm and just woke up and it's doing the same thing still. (4:28am) I cleared my cache as well and it didn't work at all.

 

Before I heard about this, I tried to input my email and password a few times with no success. I've since changed the password for my email account. It might just be me being paranoid, I think it's a good safety measure and recommend people change theirs
if they tried to sign-in like I did.
