Is the Xbox 360 using dedicated servers now?

I have heard that Titanfall for the Xbox 360 is supposed to be running on Dedicated Servers. I would totally pick-up Titanfall if it had a single player mode.

Yeah the multiplayer campaign for it, I haven't played yet but I hear its pretty poor and feels like a throw in. Thank you for the good luck, hopefully it pays off in the long run. Course if you see an explosion over the ocean then you will know I got to
the end and managed to get the 3 hours and 1 minute and blew console up in rage

I can't wait for the time when Dedicated Servers will become the standard (similar to the way HDTVs replaced SDTVs. At first, HDTVs were really expensive. Then as it became more and more common, HDTVs became cheaper. Maybe the cost of Dedicated Servers
will follow the same trend?

I don't know much about the how game developers work, but I'm guessing that those games that have Dedicated Servers are big companies with tons of money; hence developers with limited funding can't afford them.

I agree with your comment regarding the fact that the implementation of the Campaign Mode in Titanfall was more of an after thought instead of something that was designed to be part of the game.

It really was. It just doesn't feel naturally like I want to even bother trying it. If there is an online only game than unless its called 'Unreal Tournament' there shouldn't be any sort of campaign at all, if the game is built for player vs player, that
is. Games like Destiny and ESO are the exception as they are story based imo

I really wouldn't mind picking-up Destiny if there is a single player mode. I would imagine that the single player mode could be done by setting the game's network options to "offline" (Like Diablo 3 because you have offline, friends only, invite only,
and public).

All depends on the game. Only a few games really have dedicated servers.

Hey there

From the little experience I have with dedicated servers, they seem a little bit better or should I say more accurate with in-time online play. Though I am probably just off there and not making much sense lol.

Personally I have very little understanding about how servers work and what makes them differentiate from other types. So long as they play well I am happy

thankfully the days of 'host leaving ends the game' are behind us. CoD4 was amazing but that was
a pain in the neck!
