Is the X1 power supply box always lit up?

Is it? I'm just wondering if that's normal. Before I had the light on white because I was downloading stuff while my Xbox was off, but now that everything is done, it's still lit up? Is that because of instant on? If so, maybe I will turn it off.

What mode do you guys use? Instant on or energy saver?

Power supply not lighting up when plugged into Xbox but when not plugged in lights up.

I also have this problem. I plugged my power supply into my Xbox one and it lights up for a few seconds before the console turns off, only the power supply unit is always lit in orange.

I tried to light it several times this way and it is the same ride: it lights up for a few seconds before turns off and the power supply unit is always lit in orange.

The power supply always showed green, orange when Xbox is off. When it had the red dot, it was only the dot that was lit up

 

its allways on unless you unplugg it

 

Yes, the light stays white in "Instant On", and turns yellow if you turn completely off. Ive had mine in instant on since launch, so that updates will come down automatically.

 

Energy Saver...less problems. Light goes Amber when off.

That's awesome that updates download automatically with instant on, but I don't know about my Xbox using that much 'energy' lol. I think I'll switch to energy saver. Thank you guys.

Then again.. you can't say Xbox on! with energy saver. I love doing that haha.

 

I wouldn't worry about it, Mine has been in "instant on" since last November with no problem's at all.
