Is the Series X controller drift ever going away?

Is MS going to make new controllers with upgraded quality? I bought my console at the end of August and three months down the line, right after the warranty ran out, the left stick is basically useless in most games, it's our good old friend controller drift, which is, by the way, progressively getting worse. I don't even play often, only on weekends and nothing brutally demanding on the controller either; mostly games like Gears of War or Resident Evil, otherwise I mostly play racing games with steering wheel, so the controller didn't even get that much action over the time.

So what is going to be done about it? Or are we expected to burn $60 on a new controller every 3 months or so? For this price, I'd like to buy one and have it for years to come, like with PS4 controller that I owned for 6 years and is top notch till today.

This is why I refuse to buy them from microsoft directly always get from gamestop with the 1 year warrenty full replacement so microsoft cant play the hey we build it faulty so you have to keep rebuying more

drift is the only issue I've ever had, and it's very upsetting. Dead zone fixed the issue on my older xbox one controller but my new series x controller only lasted about 9 months and even I baby these things. They don't make them like they used to. I wish all I had was sticky buttons.

Unboxed my Series X in October. Stick drift within a month. My Xbox 360 Elite controller still works flawlessly after nearly 15 years.

The new controllers are garbage.

The first thing I did was update my controller and it's still drifting on the y axis. The Xbox controller that I use for my pc that I got 7 years ago works. My 360 controllers works. The series x controller, 1.5 years old, drifts like crazy. Just outta warranty, funny how that works. 😜
