is the master chief collection playable on the xbox one x?

according to the folling game page link, it is playable on the Xbox One and that the game features Smart Delivery so based on the console it will get the right version for that console. This is the game page link:

So if that link indeed shows the game you want to get, then it should work based on my understanding of your question and situation.

From my research, the Xbox One Master Chief Collection is not backwards compatible with the xbox 360/original xbox version of the games, you must both have the Master Chief Collection and have an Xbox One to play CoOp online or locally.
