    Is the lack of touch controls for Xbox remote play a tech limitation?


    I've noticed this has been requested before and I saw an article from Gamerant titled "Xbox Game Pass Adds Touch Controls to 16 More Games in August Update".

    Is there a technical reason why:

    1. There isn't just a generic touch controller for Xbox console streaming?
    2. Or for Gamepass streaming?

    Is it a niche feature?

    How to use touch controls on Xbox remote play?

    The controls are remapped on cloudplay on certain games

    Vs remote play it requires a normal.controller

    Touch screen isn't supported on remote.play on the old Xbox 360 but that was limited to. smart glass which allows your phone to be used as a mouse .not a second screen

    It was an idea for the Xbox app. The touch screen controls will act like a button in an Xbox controller when you connect it to Bluetooth while playing remote with your own Xbox.

    It seems that there is a bug on that previous update of the Xbox app.

    I'm so glad that it was fixed by the new released update of the Xbox app. If incase you encounter any issue again don't hesitate to post here in community.

    Disable Touch controller on remote play?

    Hello. Sry for the late reply.

    Reinstalling the App did nothing so I gave up for a couple of days.

    I tried again after an update, and now I have no issues.

    I am once again allowed to remote play, without my controller connected to my tablet/phone.

    So the issue was fixed!
