Is the HBO GO app down?

I have the same issue on Charter - none of the workarounds posted on this thread work. My HBOGo service has not worked on my Xbox One for at least a week at this point. Other streaming apps work just fine.

 

@Mister Quimby the issue has been 'bubbling' for nearly a month now, Winter is coming so would appreciate an update on timeline

 

I'm having the same issue. I've tried all the different methods that have been mentioned in this forum trying to fix the problem. I just thought I would post to keep this thread going and keep this problem escalated.

 

I'm also having the same issue. Tried all the hard reset options. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Please Fix. Much appreciated.

 

I havent been able to use HBO GO since activating it the first day it came out... thats because I didt attempt to use it till now... I've tried everything, and all solutions within this forum... please help... its been 1 month

 

I am running into this as well. I get a network error when i launch the app and it says it will restart. Then it says it cannot connect

 

I've had this issue for at least 3+ weeks. Restarting, reinstalling – none of it works.

 

I am having the same issue. Hard reset multiple times and no changes. Running wired to an 18MB AT&T Uverse connection.

 

I just got to the bottom of this...in my case Charter's DNS server was not resolving HBOGO addresses correctly...I entered a public DNS server such as google's 8.8.8.8 into the network settings and now I can use HBOGO with no problem

 

Let's assume I don't know what changing the DNS entails. Could someone give me a rundown how that works?

 

I am also having this issue and it has not resolved in over a week. I already did the 5 steps and even deleted the app and reinstalled. This issue occurs immediately upon entering the app, I never once see anything from inside the app. I'm using Charter
Cable. Any additional help would be nice.

 

I'm having this problem as well for the last several days. I've uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I'm on Comcast and have a steady fast connection. I can connect to hbo go from a PC on the same network, so I don't think this is network related. (For
kicks I pointed my xbox to a public DNS server to see if that made a difference, and it didn't.)

Anyone have any ideas?

HBO itself has a page about this issue, but all it says to try is to reinstall. "help.hbogo.com/.../205121287-I-am-using-HBO-GO-on-my-Xbox-One-and-received-a-Network-Error-Why-is-this-happening-"

 

Yeah, problem is continuing. Can't get to any menus within the app, and cycling through the activation links via Xfinity doesn't do anything. I have Comcast Xfinity. Also unsuccessfully tried the DNS change. Please help, this is unresolved.

 

I've tried the same thing as the others on this post. To no avail. It gives me a network error and then says it will restart the app which doesn't happen. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I've done a hard reset. NOTHING. Please help!
