Is the console broken.

I sincerely apologize for the issues you experience time-after-time with the Xbox console, but I do have to ask, do you keep the console in a cool and well ventilated area? as well as not leave it on for days at a time?..either way, it is quite saddening
seeing the issues you continue to have repeatedly.

If you haven't already, please go ahead and clear the system cache. Here's how:

Press and hold the power button on front of your console for 10 seconds.

With your Xbox powered off, unplug the power cable for 30 seconds.

Plug in the power cable and power on your Xbox.

Let us know how that goes and we'll work from there.

If you are still stuck, then it seems the console will need to be sent in for repair. However, first check if it is possible to return your console to a store for an exchange - review the return policy on the sales receipt of the store you bought it from.

No need to apologize. Not your fault, just needed to vent. It is indeed in a well ventilated area. I thought it may be dust but when I picked it up I heard a small rattling noise. I would say part of the fan may have broken off but I can still feel air coming
out the back of the console so I'm unsure. I don't leave the console on unless I'm using it

I did go to the support page but I don't want to wait in the line for chat and ironically my house phone isn't working at the moment so email is the only other option. Besides that, I'd just get told I'm out of warranty and to pay £70 for the repair and
thats £70 I really don't have to throw away now or for the next few months. So I just now have to accept the fact that I now have another £120 doorstop and a good 50+ games that I have no idea what to do with.

You maybe right, it may not be a network speed issue. But, if you haven't already done so, may I suggest that you "Run the Xbox speed test" for your
Xbox to double check, >Settings >Network >Detailed Network Statistics .
