Is The Backward Compatability List only for XBox 360 games?

After opening a chat with an ambassador - the person stated that the backwards compatibility list is for XBox 360 games only. He stated that all XBox One games are compatible on the XBox One
S and X.

Why doesn't it state this on the list if it's true?

I'm looking to get a Kinect One sensor and adapter for my One S - but didn't see the games I am interested in on the list - which is why I opened the chat. Looking for clarification on this list and if the chat was correct.

Scenario: Xbox One S - Kinect One and Adapter for the S and I want to play Sports Rivals Game.

So long as you have an official Xbox 360 Slim HD the emulators will install automatically for games listed in the backwards compatability list

All One games will work with any version of the One. They're not listed on the backwards compatibility list because they're all within the same console family. The backwards compatibility list is only for 360 or original Xbox games that have been made compatible
to work with the One because those are older consoles and are not the same as the One.

Thank you for the info...being new to the XBox family - I wanted to make sure before investing in a Kinect sensor and adapter.

Only games that are backwards compatible will show up for redownload. Not all 360 games are backwards compatible (like the ones you listed). You can see a list of backwards compatible games here - www.xbox.com/.../backward-compatibility

WWE 2k14 is not backwards compatible for the Xbox One. Only the 360.

Depending on the game it may not be compatible on Xbox One if the game is not backwards compatible. The game may only playable on an Xbox 360.

There is a list of games that are backwards compatible and I believe the game will say if it is or not before purchasing it.
