Is sending in my Xbox really my only option?

Basically what the title says. My Xbox that I bought new a year and a half ago is having issues and pretty much every game has become unplayable. Ive spoken with support and tried everything however nothing worked. They told me
to send in my console, however it is going to cost me more to send it in than I paid in the first place when I purchased the console. Do I really have no other options besides paying $190 to send it in?

On their website I only found the option to report a bug and it is very tedious involving me to send a bunch of links and clips and whatnot and it doesn't really help me out with my issue.

I understand you need help on your account problem.

Just a heads up, any privacy and online safety being set up by the organizer of the family group cannot be changed unless you have access to that organizer.

This may have been set up through the family settings and your son maybe under his dad's family group. I do not believe a reset will clear this up because restrictions will still be there unless being changed through that parent account.

If you really do not have access to that parent account, you cannot remove that account from there. You can although create another adult account so that you can use that account in the mean time without restrictions.

This one is different. I'm trying to buy gold on my profile, but it keeps sending me back to the live options

My credit card has money. It's currently silver. I also couldn't buy the "35.99" offer due to this absurd problem. Now all I can buy is the "9.99" 1 month goal option because I don't see the "35.99" deal. However, when I select the "9.99" option, it still
