Is ripping CDs possible for the Xbox One ?

Is there no way to rip CDs to the Xbox One?

I still have to keep my 360 next to my Xbox One because I still cant find a way to rip CDs to my One, I hope this is a mistake on my behalf and not that Microsoft have forgotten such a basic feature for a console of its time.

Also would it be possible to copy all those 76 CDs that are now on my Dads hard Drive to a Memory Stick to make it faster getting the songs onto my HDD. It was a Chore Ripping all those CDs. I took the time to rip all the CDs so my dad didn't have to swap
discs.

 

Ripping Music CD's to my Xbox One

Ripping cds is the worst feature the xbox has. I am ok with the system playing the cds, and I am ok with the digital music service... But ripping cds goes completely against everything the industry is supposed to be working for.

The same standards should be held to music as is the games and movies. I believe that ripping cds is a feature that needs to be discontinued and remain unactivated.

Whats to stop people from ripping the cd and then passing it to all their friends for them to do the same?

I was not even aware of this feature until a few days ago. I had a japanese soundtrack but I did not have a cd player other than the xbox.

Not only did it play music not intended for this region.. IT GAVE ME THE OPTION TO RIP THE CD.

Hey there.

There's not currently a way to rip CDs on the Xbox One. You could always use a computer to rip CDs to MP3, and put those MP3 files onto a USB storage device - the Media Player app will be able to read and play those files from the USB drive.

If ripping directly from CD is something you'd like to see in the future, I'd suggest you post it (or vote up an existing post if it exists) over at
Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice - that's the site the team uses to collect ideas for future console updates.

There are many features that would make life easier and more fun for Xbox One users, BUT Microsoft does not work like that! ...they do things to increase profit and profit only - they dont care about YOU or ME.

Think about it... things you wish the Xbox One had and hasn't...are not there because Microsoft wants you to use 'Tv shows and films' or 'Groove' or 'The Game Store'. They are all about digital downloads...so they make it as hard and as uncomfortable, and
in most cases impossible for you to use your own content ! ...it really is SICKENING.

I see the Microsoft Xbox One as an entertainment shell much like an Amazon Kindle Fire ...they sell them at a price that is almost affordable ( but still not cheap ), and they get reimbursed by content makers ).

I hate Microsoft, and I understand why they are the brunt of so many cyber attacks... its been this way for years. They are the most hated company in the world. I hope they fail BIG real soon.
