Is resetting the Xbox my only option?

My sons xbox was set up with parentals under his dad's account, so my son gets on and there's his ow account and then there's his dad's. I have no access (as his mom) to any settings. We've been divorced for years but, his dad still locks my son out of his own account, changes the settings, deletes his friends. Anything he can do to just ruin his son's fun and experience...

Is there anything I can do to boot his dad without going as far as factory reseting the Xbox?

I understand you need help on your account problem.

Just a heads up, any privacy and online safety being set up by the organizer of the family group cannot be changed unless you have access to that organizer.

This may have been set up through the family settings and your son maybe under his dad's family group. I do not believe a reset will clear this up because restrictions will still be there unless being changed through that parent account.

If you really do not have access to that parent account, you cannot remove that account from there. You can although create another adult account so that you can use that account in the mean time without restrictions.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately niether option worked. We removed the account and added it back as well as try a hard reset. The only option left is a soft factory reset. Where can i find this option in my Xbox menu?

I tried most of the options and the only one that worked was resetting my console.

Xbox can't reset your password. Windows LIVE are the only people who can. If the email resets and secret question don't work, your only option is "customer support" when doing a reset.

There is no other way to reset the password.

Is resetting the Xbox my only option?
