Is RDR Game of the Year playable on Xbox One?

I wanted to know if the Game of the Year edition that has all the downloadable content on the disc is playable on xbox one, or if it is only the standard edition. I called Gamestop to ask them this question since I plan on purchasing a physical copy of the
game. They weren't sure but suggested that the Game of the Year is not. Is this true?

RDR is a backward compatible title, I use it on the X1 myself. Make sure you are properly connected to the Live. When you insert the disc, you will receive a message to download the compatible version on the X1. It will not install anything from the disk,
but you will need to keep the disk inserted in order to play later.

I purchased the RDR GOTY edition Xbox 1/360 disc, however, the disc will not load or install. I thought the whole reason for making an Xbox 1/360 version was to avoid having to download an enormous file to play it? When I insert the disc, my Xbox 1X says
that the disc isn't compatible.

I'm happy to inform you that all disc versions of Red Dead Redemption including the Game of the Year edition is Backward Compatible on Xbox One. You'll need to use both discs to install and play both Singleplayer and Multiplayer, but they will work.
