Is Out-of-Warranty flat repair cost affected by “refurbished” status for Xbox One X?

Hi - i want to take my xbox one x into a repair shop. To diagnose the issue, they will take the xbox case off. I guess this could involve changing of the status of the xbox from “used” to “refurbished”. Presuming I don’t like their quoted price after, can
I still send this unit in for the 245 USD flat rate for out of warranty repair?

If you send the Xbox into a shop to diagnose an issue, that will remove any warranty on the console, and Microsoft will not repair it even if the console is out of warranty.

I was thinking the same thing, also considering the fact that I have and use xbox on pc.

Man, i think you should run for a cheap version until de Series X comes out.

As you've tried to fix it yourself then Microsoft wont touch it i'm afraid.They don't repair consoles that have been tampered with (opened).
