Is now the time to get an XB1?

whilst I keep debating on getting an Xb1, I pop on here and just read through some topics to get an inside view. I don't know if its a small %, or something that's quiet common but there just seems to be a lot of people saying things like they are having
problems like freezing, the console running slow, games crashing, needing to do hard resets every day... and the responce's seem to be that its the norm for this to happen.

this is putting me off, I currently have a ps4 and want an xb1 for the exclusives and to play with friends I left behind since moving from 360.

is now the time to get an XB1? is there these problems with only a small % of users?

I was just about to get ready to pop into town but yet again another day of doubt is in my mind.

There are just as many (like me) and probably an even greater number of users who have zero problems with the One. People who don't have issues are less likely to post as there is no need to.

 

am I right in believing that a lot of this freezing stuff is down to user's which use the instant on feature? I wouldn't use that, so in theory every time I turned on it would be are hard reset (is that ok for the console)?

 

I have had mine since day one, no hardware issues at all, all electronic devices have the odd issue or crash, its the way it is, it will be a new learning curve over the 360 and the bland ps4 but it is a good enough system. thinking to hard about it will
give doubts, like I said to you in the other thread, take the plunge, it has a warranty.

 

My hard reset issues are with Destiny. As long as I remember to log out profile I don't have to do a hard reset. COD Ghosts I also had to do hard reset a couple of times but it was something with the game.

Other than that I've had no issues with my XB1 and I've had mine since launch. Personally I love the instant on and that is the way I turn my XB1 on. It's about the only time I use Kinect.

I've not had any freezing issues, or loud disc tray noises. I really was hesistate about buying the first run of either system (PS4 or XB1) but I did and couldn't be happier.

 

I have a slightly sluggish UI but this does not effect playing games or downloading etc... There are times you'll probably need to hard reset but it isn't exactly an everyday occurrence. I don't think I have ever had a game freeze on the X1 yet tbh.

 

They are weekly threads , populated by the same few people , repeating the same things...

Tho , this one is a few days early .

Instant on from Day One , no issues.

 

Yep, you always get the same people with problems..... Then you also get the same people who say they have no problems.

 

I would look at the complaints on the forums as being the minority, if people are having problems they would go to the internet to complain or find a solution, that doesn't really happen with people who are not having issues.

My experience since day one using instant on is very positive, I rarely have any issues nowadays, the amount of times my console has frozen since launch is less than 5, I have to do a hard reset once every few weeks from chat issues normally, which has been
even less since the resent updates.

But don't look for problems, look at the games to make up your mind.

 

Nobody can pinpoint why some people say they have problems .

Lots of speculation tho.

Maybe its just bad luck , or karma.

 

People say they have problems because they do have problems. I don't personally think the issue's that some have are widespread. The console is not perfect at all, at the same time it isn't bad either.

Electronics in general aren't flawless, sometimes things go wrong or don't work properly and people will moan. It just makes the situation worse when you get people moaning about other people moaning.

 

No issues here seems to running good
