  1. Is NFS Rivals worth buying @ 50% off?

Hi guys & gals, Since NFS Rivals for Xbox One is 50% on the Xbox One marketplace, i've been thinking about getting it. However, I wouldn't mind some feedback on the online play, car customization & the number of cars. In other words, is it worth still
    buying?

    :)

    NFS Rivals - Worth buying?

NFS: Rivals = Updated NFS Hot Pursuit (2010).

    1) Ability to free roam, both on and offline

    2) Fleshed out Cop and Racer storyline (while it may not be great, it has some story to it that makes sense)

    3) Burnout Paradise feel (can refill weapons at nearby gas stations and repair car, semi-easy driving, fast driving but controllable)

    4) NFSHP-style crashes (flipping and breaking apart epically)

    5) Smarter AI (both cop and racer; extra units assist; racer suspects actually pose a threat as they increase in Heat)

Overall 8/10. Just feels like a more updated, better version of NFSHP from 2010. An upgrade.

  3. NFS Rivals - Worth buying?

I have the Thrustmaster TX. Got it way back in November. The first one I had broke but Thrustmaster was really good about getting me a replacement quickly.

I used a Fanatec CSR on Xbox 360. The Thrustmaster TX is a nice step up from the Fanatec CSR.

for only $5 more you could get the EA Access and they'll probably have it on there in a month or two anyways. I played it, it's fun but has that constant "rubber band AI" where no matter how far you start to pull away the other cars just seem to be right
on your bumper at the end of a race.

I agree with Dwoop33 wait for it on EA Access. If I were you I would wait and pick up Forza Horizon 2, it would be a much better game.

It looks and plays a lot better than you'd expect on the ONE.

Most people who own it enjoy it. Just check the Forums.

Safe bet it will be on EA access soon. Battlefield 4 was half off before they announced the program like a week later.

OP, I played it with my kids on the 360. It was a lot of fun. Not worth the $60 I paid but I think it's worth it for 50% off.

I struggled to get into it, not saying it was a bad game but just not for me but I know others that really enjoyed it so at 50% off I'd say that's not bad at all.

As others have said above though, chances are this title will become available in the EA Access Scheme so maybe be an idea to hold off for a while and you could save even more £$£$£$£.

I am curious about the customization of the cars also. Half off has peaked my interest as well.

An Ambassador off topic and about following the tos and code of conduct. Just kidding, hi Geek.

I brought NFS Rivals when it first released which was about a week after Xbox 1 came out. I believed I paid about NZ$90 for it. I don't play the game much though. It does have some good graphics. I usually play the cop because I like flashing lights and
sirens and listening to the gameplay police dispatcher. It's probably been about 2 months at least since I last played it.

But if it's 50% off, wish it was when it came out... and if you're into racing cop and racer style games, then I'd say give it a try.

The Customisation of cars is nothing to get too excited about.

You'll not really change anything visually except the livery and then boosts simply apply to stats.

It's a great game that doesn't demand 45 minute play commitments from you like a lot of the ONE full game titles do, though you could spend ages if you wanted.

That's one of the things that I like about it the most.

I've never played it, but as others have said jut check out EAaccess for a month a 3.99 and play it there. It's not available yet, but it's bound to be soon.

I paid full price for it when it was available on to download. I think I've played it for all of 10 hours and really couldn't get into it... sort of an impulse buy for me at the time. I don't even know if I'd say it would have been worth it for me at half
price. If you like car racing games and stuff... maybe?
