Is Nat Geo Kinect (360) working any more?

Our Nat Geo Kinect hasn't worked for quite some time.

If you look on these forums you'll see PLENTY of other users have posted the same "can't access content" or "season unavailable" problems for years now. Even though they, like me, have seasons 1 and 2 purchased.

So, what I can NOT seem to find on here is any sort of final resolution to this.

Did Microsoft ever declare what the official problem is?

I know at one point they were pointing fingers at Nat Geo.

But then I saw plenty of posts here saying Nat Geo wasn't answering.

Some people poked Microsoft enough that they would receive 12 months Gold for free.

Is that what we have to do? Separately and individually berate and deride Microsoft in weeks of phone calls and emails until they give everyone who bought Nat Geo a 12 month pass?

I don't want to go through that, but I will if there hasn't yet been an official resolution to this matter.

SOooooo.. does anyone know? Or shall I go get the pitchforks and torches?

Kinect Nat Geo TV isn't working

This is the message I got from Xbox Support...not much help I'm afraid:

I have read your case notes and chat transcript and understand that you are having an issue with the NAT Geo TV service. Currently we have no issues being reported regarding the service not working.

For all our apps, we provide "best effort" support. It appears that you have already deleted and reinstalled the app which would resolved most issues.

Since the service depends on an approved TV provider, you may want to contact them to see if there is a problem.

I'm sorry to see any frustrations around Kinect Nat Geo! This app has been decommissioned for over a year now due to publisher request, and is listed on our

Decommissioned Xbox 360 games page. Any complaints, concerns, or requests, should be going through
Nat Geo themselves.
