Is my xbox screwed?

So ever since maybe 3 months ago my Xbox One all the sudden lost connection to xbox live. I have tried absolutely everything. Hard reset, trying all the network settings, using a different controller, TV, etc. , even unplugging my xbox completely for a week,
but nothing has worked. My xbox is still on the update behind the newest one. Also, everytime the xbox turns on, and the home screen appears, well, there is no home screen. It's been blank except for the my games and apps and my background. there's also a
line that's going through the middle. I hope i can get some help. Or should i just get a new xbox?

my xbox is old my tv is new

A new console or use an existing upconverting receiver. It's not worth the money to buy a Component to HDMI adapter when any console that old is a ticking timebomb.

Hi there this is BAD!

I've got a new lcd tv which is hdmi ready so it doesn't have any off those old av coloured ports at all and my xbox doesn't have a hdmi port becasue it's old. Any suggestions on what I need to get?

You’ve done a hard reset, but have you also done a factory reset?

If that doesn’t work than I would send it off for a repair.

Dude all i i know is ive had to do a factory eeset on mine every 2 days for the last month.. this morning i cant launch a single app. [Mod Removed Profanity] xbox for making such a
[Mod Removed Profanity] product and stealing my momey. I bought my xbox one on black friday last year... 10 months later this console is legit GARBAGE!! Im literally going to make a video of me smashing it to
[Mod Removed Profanity] and replace it with a PlayStation... Do yourself a favor and sont waste any money or time trying to fix your xbox..

Call the Support services 1-800-4my-xbox they will do their best to help sort this issue out. Also, did you do a license transfer when you transfered the data to your new console?
