    Is my Xbox one overheating?


    So i turned on my Xbox and started to load a game, then it make a loud crackling sound and shut off. It has been feeling alil hotter than usual. Should I take it apart and try to clean it or what?

    When mine cools down I cover it with a towel to keep it dust-free, Try that in the future.

    That sound you heard would have me pretty concerned. If you're worried about it overheating just make sure it's got at least 6 inches of space around the entire console.

    Pointing a fan at it can also help a little bit.

    As others have stated do not take it apart yourself. Best suggestion is to try moving your console to a cooler spot if it keeps happening. The shutting off of your console when it hot is a safety feature to make sure no internal damage is occured for the
    console over heating.
