Is my Xbox One broken?

I kinda just need an opinion. For awhile now while playing a game (disc or digitally), watching an app or just loading the home screen, my Xbox One would lose connection to my internet. I am connected wirelessly and my internet is, quite frankly, ****. So
losing connection is not all that surprising. When I tried to reconnect it wouldn't let me at all and after trying for the better part of 30 minutes it wouldn't connect. So instead I decided to restart the console. Low and behold it worked. Now I've been doing
this every Time I've lost connection which happens at least 5 times a day. More recently my Xbox Froze while I was playing a game (disc) online which I attributed to the lag that happened when my connection pooped itself. Not unusual and tends to happen from
time to time. So I hit the home button and tried to restart the system. It Froze there and the console wouldn't turn off even when I hit the power button on the console. So I did a hard reset and gave the system a minute before turning it on once more. However
when I turned the console on it started out as usual until I noticed nothing popped up on my screen. The system was on but it wasn't showing up on my t.v. So I checked the HDMI cable and made sure nothing was loose from either side. Still nothing. After about
15 minutes the console made a noise and my t.v found the console. I decided to play it safe, even though there was no error warning when the console turned back on, and watch YouTube. After about 2 minutes I lost connection and my Xbox Froze up completely
again. Wouldn't turn off without a hard reset. When I turned it back on it took another 15 minutes for my console to be recognized by the t.v again. This happens every time now so I don't turn it on in fear of it freezing and having to restart the process.
So in simplest terms, is my console broken?

Is my Xbox One defective?

Had to put in a service request. This seems to be how my drive operates now.

1. put in disk, hear slight grind sound

2. put in disk, does not read it, keep trying, sometimes 10-15 times.

3. put in disk, hear slight grind, remove disk and hear elongated grind sound.

It also seems to be getting worse as far as #2 goes. Wonder how long service takes.

 

Is my Xbox One defective?

@Your Dead McFly I wasn't able to connect with an Ethernet cable, but I upgraded my modem/router from the Gateway Comcast gave me, and it fixed all my problems. I think the Xbox One's drivers just don't work well with Comcast's gateway. Put all of
my issues have been erased and my netflix and other apps run alot faster... this was the experience I was looking for when I bout my Xbox One.

Do you have the same issues if you connect your console to your home network using a wired connection? This will be helpful to determine if the issue is with your console or your network. If the issue does happen while wired, I recommend a full

factory reset of your console. That will give your console a clean slate to work with. If the issue still persists, you may need to have your console repaired. That process can be initiated via the
Online Service Center.
