    hi this is going to sound very strange but my xbox keeps randomly turning its self on

    even when i have taken the battierys out of my control

    the xbox will just randomly turn on by itself

    this has happened 7 times in the last 3 day anyone have any idea whats causing it

    Yes, you can do that as long as the console wasn't damaged by the overload.

    My Profile Is damaged!!!!!!!

    Try deleting the update you have for battlefield 4 than unplugging your hard drive plug it back In an then try playing battlefield 4 again

    To check, is your Xbox One console connected to a wall outlet or power strip?

    Also, is your console in
    Instant-On or Energy Saving power mode     and do you have an external hard drive connected to the console?

    hi sorry i took so long to reply had no working computer for a while and to answer your questions

    its plugged into a wall outlet instant on is turned of yes i have a external hard drive

    it keeps coming on at random times still lol it did it at 3am today

    Thanks for that info super gizzmo. To check, does this behavior still occur when you

    change your Power Mode to Energy-Saving    ? Also, does your external hard drive connect to your Xbox One console via USB or does it have it's own power source?

    yes it still dose it in energy saving mode and my external hard drive connect by usb also ive noticed it happens more often when my mobile is in same room

    the mobile has the xbox smart glass app on which also keeps starting up on its own maybe the 2 are some how connected ??

    Gotcha, thanks for that info. Have you used the Xbox app on your mobile device to power on your Xbox One console in the past? Is the app currently connected to the same network as your console?

    Let's have you try switching to a different network on your mobile device (different than the one your console connects to), did that solve the issue?

    ok ive tried difrent network and so far its not switched on by its sellf in 36 hours fingers crossed that's solved the issue

    There were some issues recently were it was taking longer than usual to sign in & sometimes it would just tell you to sign in with a controller instead of automatically signing you in so that could of been the issue.

    Was happening to me for a couple of days.

    hmm, the Xbox one is getting quite old but i dont understand why you would have preformance issues if the Xbox one x has better hardware than the series s. i would reccomend checking if it is getting hot and due to the Xbox one getting old, there might be thermal or update issues. is the xbox fully updated? add my xbox account so i can chat.
