IS MY TV INCOMPATIBLE?

Alright, so i just dropped $250 on this xbox one today. i have an old Sanyo tv. I dont know the model, but i know its a 42'' screen. for some reason i cant see the left most third of the screen. i have attempted to adjust the resolution, but no dice. and
i cant really see all of the settings. i have tried almost everything. i put it on a bigger screen, a 60" tv and it was perfect. but on my smaller one it just wont work. is my tv uncompatible?

Hi there this is BAD!

I've got a new lcd tv which is hdmi ready so it doesn't have any off those old av coloured ports at all and my xbox doesn't have a hdmi port becasue it's old. Any suggestions on what I need to get?

A new console or use an existing upconverting receiver. It's not worth the money to buy a Component to HDMI adapter when any console that old is a ticking timebomb.

Are you using the same HDMI cable for both TV's? If not, then try the one from the larger TV on the smaller TV. Have you tried a different HDMI port on the smaller TV? If not, then that is something else worth trying. You can also try switching the inputs
on the TV to a different input and then back to the one that the XBOX is on to see if that gets the image to display properly.

Hello, it may be an over scan issue, some older Tv's over scan the display which can cause the image to be cropped off at the sides. Try looking in the Tv picture options for some sort of setting, it may be called Just Scan or Fit to Screen or something
else. That will then force the Tv to fit the image on the screen.

Not all T'v have that ability though and you may find that no matter what you try you just won't get the Tv to fit the image on the Tv screen.

I have found a possible hidden menu for Sanyo Tv's that will allow you to change the values for the image displayed, I will provide the link below, however as you may be messing around in a Service Menu take great care as to not change any settings that
could render your Tv inoperable. Good Luck

i can rule out the HDMI cable and the tv, unless its incompatible with two of my tv's...

The headhones may be incompatible with with the tv/console and causing an interference in the signal
