Is My SeriesX broken?

I’ve had my SeriesX since 12/2020 (edit - I incorrectly put 2021). I hadn’t used it too much but as far as I knew it worked fine.

When Forza Horizon 5 came out, I downloaded the game through GamePass. I had been previously playing through my PC w/o issue.

When I selected Quality mode the game would get to the loading screen, freeze, and then display a full screen of a magenta-colored digital “mess,” crash, and take me back to the Home Screen. I tried performance, and while the game would load, there were graphical glitches everywhere.

I tried uninstalled and reinstalling. I tried different HDMI cables. I tried every video combination available. I even tried a different TV. No change. I assumed this was specific to Forza 5. My other games worked fine. Forza’s support is terrible so I waited in hopes of an update.

However, Earlier this week I downloaded MLB22. And sure enough, this game gets to the loading screen, freezes, and I have to quit the game. So I went out and bought a disc version of Forza. Same issues.

My original save file synced incorrectly so I ended up starting from the beginning. I was able to get to the first stage’s loading screen - with graphical glitches (textures were popping in and out) - and then the game froze.

Now I’m thinking this has something to do with the Xbox itself. And of course, I’m out of warranty. I even tried setting up paid-warranty service with Microsoft and all I get is a pop up saying “service is not available.”

Is there anything else I should try? Or any thoughts on what this could be? I don’t mind paying for warranty service if I can do so, but, I’ve never seen a console behave this way. For example, I tried Halo infinite, and it works just fine.

Sorry for the long post. I’m stumped.
