Is my minecraft missing files?

I was trying to clear some disk space by removing some files in the temp folders. When I logged on to Minecraft (1.8.9), I noticed that the text and textures were affected. Minecraft still has the capability to function but it is very unusable as you can barely make out what the text says and is very troublesome. I've already attempted to reinstall minecraft - deleting the minecraft launcher and .minecraft folder. I'm unsure if I lack certain files because I heard that Minecraft installs these files once they are needed. I'm certain it was not any mods that corrupted the computer (only because I don't use them).

I have the same issue, but my windows defender doesnt block anything, I've updated my windows and reinstalled the game multiple times and still the same issue.

I've found out that windows defender was blocking some of the systems and minecraft works after allowing them in the defender. Tysm!

Update: I've tried reinstalling the mc launcher from minecraft.net and creating a local administrator account but they both don't help the problem. HOWEVER, I have no idea why I didn't try this earlier but my 1.19.2 minecraft works perfectly fine. So is there a certain problem that only persists in 1.8.9. Also, Windows Defender Firewall blocked a certain file that it doesn't in 1.19.2. It might have affected the game but I don't know. The specific path I will upload in the screenshot.

If you allow the access. The same happens?
Try whitelist this path using windows defender. Or check if a file has been moved to the quarantine inside Windows defender

Probably it's because you're trying to run an old Minecraft version
