    Is my controller's serial number wrong?


    My controller recently broke and it won't connect to anything, not my Xbox or my pc anymore. So I'm trying to send it and another controller I've been meaning to get fixed in. So I went to the website and it asked me for my controller's serial number.
    So I took out my battery and found it and typed it in. But it said it didn't recognize my serial number? I'm really confused please help, been with xbox for 7 years and I don't want to spend money on another controller. I believe my controller's warranty is
    still valid but I can't check because it won't accept my serial number.

    Also, I can register my xbox one controller under "register" device for some reason. At first it would say the serial number is wrong. Which is correct because the text box would not accept the last 2 digits, meaning the serial number on the controller was
    longer (having more characters) than the text box could accept. Secondly, the web page just crashes when I hit the register device button after entering the partial serial number. odd.
