Is my account permanently lost?

Ok, here's my problematic situation.

I've used my gamertag for two or three years and haven't had very many problems. A month or two ago, I start to get a pop up upon signing in which reads:

"We need the email address and password for your Microsoft account so we can check and update the security of your Xbox profile.

For more info, go to Xbox.com/proofs."

I press continue and enter the email address and password for my Microsoft account. Upon this, I receive another pop up which reads:

"Sorry, something's wrong with your Microsoft account. Go to
https://account.live.com for help. Code: 8015D003"

I wanted to make sure that I was entering the correct email and password, so I went to Yahoo.com and checked the credentials against that website.

I discovered that the email had been deleted for 365 days of activity. Yahoo is very adamant that once an email is recycled, it can never be recovered.

I am wholly barred from my account, and can't even access saved games in singleplayer titles.

Are there any solutions to this, or is 3 years of work destroyed?

if your yahoo address has been deleted on yahoos servers, a very simple solution is to create it again exactly as it was used in the past.

then next question, can you actually login to account.live.com?

if yes, then choose security and password to either update entries or add, if there are less than 2 in total (and just in case, check if 2step authentication is activated, this would cause your xbox to ask for an app password instead your normal password).

if no, then with access to your yahoo you should be able to reset your password, if this is not possible theres still a contact form you can use at the very end.

Hello. Have you tried searching that code in the forums? (http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/xbox-live/error-code-8015d003) When I did this, the search
returned the issue that you had described, and also included 3 different solutions that may solve the issue. The first is to verify your microsoft account security info, which is where you seem to be having the issue, the second is to clear your system cache
and the third is to re-download your Xbox live profile. The link that I have provided above explains how to do each of those step by step. If all else fails, it wouldn't hurt to contact Microsoft support so they can resolve the issue from their end.

So the good news is no, your 3 years of work has not been destroyed. I would recommend contacting support either through the official twitter support (@xboxsupport) or by phone (1-800-469-9269). Good luck and I hope this helps!
