Is MS banning foreigners shopping Markets?

No, it is not illegal. But it is Microsoft's right to remove access to those Markets (Hong Kong - India, etc). Anytime they want, if they want. And nothing you or me or anyone else on here will ever be able to do about it.

Sorry. But that is life when your using a companies service. Their ability to change a service that best suits them, whenever they want.

 

I'll assume all the "if you can't afford it don't game" comments are from Americans....and we wonder why people hate us.

Some of you may want to do some research and see what people in other countries are paying for their hobby compared to us. If you suddenly found that your Sunset Overdrive pre-order just jumped to 150 bucks you'd be upset too....and what would you think
of the people telling you to get your priorities in order.

 

if the game cost 70 euros in Spain, in India or Hong Kong it cost 40 euros.......it is so much difference for ignore it.

 

You know what I do? Even in America, I feel like games are expensive, I don't often buy them new or at launch to save money. I have 6 games so far, so from day one I only bought on average 1 game every two months (and I still play xBox 360 and PC games).
And I'm starting to get more games now, since prices are falling. The last game I got was Ryse, and I paid $30 for it new, so it half the price... yeah it came out almost a year ago, but it doesn't mean my experience with it is any different now.

I also borrow games from friends sometimes.

Those are some ways to save money on gaming. I'm not ever going to tell anyone: "well if you can't afford it, blah blah blah...", I get it, I want many things and waste way too much money on things others say I don't need. But I will say this... We don't
have to have everything we want right when we want them, sometimes it pays to be patient, wait a few months and save big. Then suddenly, gaming gets so much cheaper

your euro buys more indian currency so how would that be fare to the Indians who also have to save to afford anything off there store. look at it in reverse if Indians tried to purchase something from the Spanish store it would cost them double than there
store due to currency conversion. also governments frown on buying digitally from other countries as they lose a lot of tax.

 

Are you able to get 2nd hand games for the xbox 1? If so that may be a option. Or if you have a few friends with the xbox 1. All get different games and share them around each other when your done. I am sure there are plenty of ways to got about it without
worrying too much about money

There you go, i have saved you nearly 13 Euros already.

There are deals out there if you look. You don't have to go digital in another country to save money. Just buy physical. Also. Try Amazon.Es for good prices.....

 

Same problem in France and I think it's just a bug.

Xbox One is region free, i buy on XBL or PlayAsia the situation is the same for me. When you can save 30,50 % on one game it's important. If Microsoft stop this, i return on PC.

 

There are so many ways to save money, you are right. But dont you think that is very strange the banned stores are the cheapest? the other stores are open to buy without problem.

 

No, not strange, It probably seems like good business sense to them. They make more money, because even if people don't like it.

They still want the latest game, and just cannot wait for it to go cheaper.

So in the end, the person will find a way to get that game.............. Your just going to have to be a bit more thrifty with your money, and more choosy with your games. And i am sure you will manage.

Another reason why i go physical...... here in Europe, it's normally always cheaper.

Why would you bring PS4 into this....... This has nothing to do with Sony or the PS

 

Today it's "only" banning foreign stores, tomorrow they will block 2nd hand games, as they were thinking not so long ago.

If it continues the same, i will buy any game and i will return to PC where the games are a lot cheaper (see steam) and with better quality

Just order your games online. You can always find them cheaper there... I loved that special little island called Aland and its weird tax laws. Games used to be like 10-15€ cheaper when ordered from there. Too bad the government changed the laws
