Is MS aiding devs. to patch performance/ Resolution post June SDK for previously released ...

I've been reading about how developers such as Blizzard and Bungie have been looking into the latest June SDK to get better performance and visuals for parity. Do you think MS Engineers will try to get some of the older games (launch titles) to take advantage
of the boosts in performance so they can also benefit from better optimizations equating to better experiences?

First One game

Dead rising 3 for definite, really like the look of titanfall as well but not sure if its a launch title?

 

certain games not launching

recently i downloaded AC Black Flag and have been playing it for several days. This morning i went to play Titanfall and it wouldnt launch, then i tried Dead rising 3 and it wouldnt launch either, Black Flag, Titanfall and Dead rising 3 are all downloads,
as is Project spark which did launch. Will i have to redownload Titanfall and Dead rising 3? can anyone help?

^ you'd be surprised at how many people will by a game if it was 1080p but wont if it was 900p

 

I think it would benefit sales of Xbox One if they did, and made a big deal of it. Most people are under the impression that the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox One when in reality it isn't. It's probably the main reason why people choose the PS4 over
the Xbox One.

 

What I have read online Microsoft gave a new development kit to Bungie just after E3. A video released by IGN shows Destiny running at 1080p. This video came out before the beta. Not sure about Blizzards game but as it is under the same publisher Activision
they know doubt have the a dev kit as well.

^ yes, it is Lloydy. If you didn't gain your knowledge of PS4 and XB1 from trolls and trolling you would know this.

 

Games like Destiny will make use of the reduced Kinect reserve, as they have time before release. The other games I don't think so. Take COD for example, its probably sold 99.9% of what it will ever sell, it simply isn't worth the time or money.

@ZombieDeano I don't wish to go down the comparison road. I'll just say you won't find a reputable gaming site that doesn't say the oposite to you.

This thread is about optimization of xbox one games, has nothing to do with other platforms.

 

@iiD while I hear that, only one year on, and I doubt the time put in will draw in the money needed to recoup the costs. There are two many new games coming in, for consumers to pay full retail price on a newish old game, none of which have a cult following
or amazing reputation.

@Zombie, if XB asked developers to re work their games while it might allow XB to say "see its does it", everyone else will simply say why wasn't it like that at launch. And IMO i would be better to build their reputation up over the next 6 months with new
stuff, than go back 12 months and try and change things.

I think they should just press on, that way graphic/Res hunters will look back and say it just needed to warm up.

 

Its not financially viable and I don't think people are that bothered about updating older titles. Any game could be improved post launch, and whilst gameplay bugs are fixed in patches, optimisation rarely happens outside of the first few weeks of launch.
