Is minecraft on console a waste of time?

Am I the only person who thinks that console versions of minecraft are a waste of time and money? While I understand that minecraft was originally developed and released for pc, there are some features on the game that probably will not be released for consoles
and the additional extras like skin packs have to be paid for on console but are free on the pc version. One of the main reasons I am annoyed about is not having dedicated servers for console, and no definitive answer as to be if it will be released at all.
Also a player cap of 8 on console can be a dealbreaker if you have more than 8 friends that want to play next to the hundreds if not thousands on pc. All those reasons along with caps on the amount of chickens, pigs, sheep etc... are the reason i think that
people who bought the console version of minecraft are being ripped off.

Can't anyone play something that isn't minecraft or black ops 2?

[/quote]Hey you, Minecraft on Xbox360 is a great game and is certainly no waste of hardware, heck it's the only game i missed when i sold my Xbox, but luckily enough there are enough great PS3 exclusives to keep me busy until Mincraft is released on PS4.

good buy! at least you didn't waste $20 on a buffalo turd arcade game called minecraft!

 

It's not as good as pc but hopefully it will get there, I've never played on pc so to me it's still as good, however o have been looking into just got to save a bit to get a decent pc

 

Even if the game was 60, 70 or 80, I would still have gotten my money's worth. I've played it for more time than I've played any other game. The sales on console and the community, suggest there are many who feel the same. Any game or product is the same,
you may not like it, but there may be a lot of people who do. Things like that come down to personal choice.

 

Technically, Minecraft is running on dedicated servers.

As for it being a waste of time, well, that is totally subjective. If you feel the lack of mods/skins greatly prohibits your enjoyment, then yes, I suppose it would be a waste of time. I, personally, don't care to play games on PC, so I prefer the One's
version.

 

Yes, Minecraft on console is absolutely a waste of time. So is Minecraft on PC. So is gaming in general. What we all should be doing is spending our time working to solve the world's problems and helping our fellow man. Alas, we all fall short of that.

 

And that coming from someone with over 100,000 gamerscore.

 

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

 

Also just because some one has a high gamerscore doesn't mean they are on there console 24/7
