    Is microsoft having an error on its website to buy Xbox Gold live or redeem a code?


    First I tried to buy one month subscription for $1 as a deal for Black Friday and it did not work, after the credit card details the website throws an error `Something wrong in our end, try again later` , well, then I bought a code in a local store and
    tried to redeem the code, logging in the website again another error: `

    Something went wrong
    Sorry about that. Please try again later.

    Then I tried to redeem the code directly on xbox and guest what? another similar error...

    I am just chating with support now and they said to try again `periodically` as the techs are trying to fix the issue now. off course there is no ETA to fix the issue.

    I guess that I will have to shut down the computers and games and maybe enjoy the day on a park.

    I have redeem a 12 month xbox live gold code through the xbox website, in my microsoft account subscriptions appears as active, but in the xbox website is like if I dont have the gold subscription.

    Can't use a gift card to buy Xbox Live Gold. You must use a credit or debit card or funds from a PayPal account to do so. In addition you can buy a 1 month or 3 month or 1 year Xbox Live subscription card and redeem that via the website or console.

    If you entered the redeem code then you should have Xbox LIVE gold features. If the code was not typed properly then that could be why. One of the safest and error free methods is to simply redeem the prepaid code on the Xbox website.
