Is Microsoft Edge supposed to be a standalone browser?

    Is Microsoft Edge supposed to be a standalone browser?


    No matter how I configure to be full screen in settings, starting always give me Games n apps and Edge in a sidebar.

    I thought it would be some cookie thing, so I also cleared history.

    But then starting it again it's in sidebar, resyncing from cloud the last documents.

    no its a standalone game and its supposed to be really good.

    Ok, here is the deal.

    I accidentally pinned a snapped version of Edge from snap an app, and even doing settings to full screen and pinning it to home screen - it will behave like a snapped version causing a docked sidebar.

    So solution was to select the Edge app from Games n apps instead - and it opens as a standalone full screen browser.

    I had no idea there were this kind of difference between the apps.

    I keep getting popups for Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition X-box game- I blocked all Xbox popups but it still keeps coming up - How do I get rid of this from happening ?

    I cannot find either. Is it supposed to be on PC settings, or browser settings? I have looked at both. I have Windows 11 and MS Edge.
