    Is Microsoft doing anything about the Elite Series 2 controller shut off problem


    I bought my elite 2 under a year ago. Just recently it started shutting off. I thought it was something wring with my xbox. Now I am seeing it is a major problem. For $170 this controller shoukd last more than a year. I have tried all the usual updates,
    connected directly, the battery is fully charged. This is garbage. I can see why they only have a 90 day warranty on these. I attempted to contact support. All they told me was it would be $99 to send it in for repair. Don't see the value in that. Is there
    a fix that I am not finding or am I just screwed like everyone else?

    about elite series 2, I think this has more problem....

    I have 2 elite series 2, my rubber knobs on the hair trigger locks came off too.

    And My 'A' button is very bad..

    Microsoft knew the controllers were defective and still sold them as a good product. they wont do anything to fix your controller because its most like out of warranty thats why the warranty was so short. The whole elite series 2 was a scam

    How to reconnect Xbox controller to PC after playing wired to charge (Bluetooth)

    I just got in an Elite Series 2 controller with the same issue. it is not removed from the devices list but still does not reconnect to bluetooth when disconnected from USB (charging/accessory app). The status light (xbox home button) just flashes slowly. It continues to do this until it shuts off or I delete and pair the controller again.

    side note: elite controller is fully updated

    Microsoft Elite Controller 2 disconnects from XBOX One X intermittently

    This did not work, I also noticed that if I shut off the XBOX One X it disconnects this controller and I have to reconnect it on startup. This does not happen with my other controllers just the Elite series 2 one.. I'll request a replacement

    Elite Series 2 controller shuts off.

    Just an update. The controller completely shuts down when only the right joystick is pressed to the upper left while clicking it at the same time. Example would be while playing Halo and trying to melee someone that is above you kills the controller and I have to either put it on the charger or plug it into the USB to get it to turn back on. I am waiting to hear from the company I bought it from before sending it in to MS.
