Microsoft hasn't let us play any other games online without Gold so why should Elder Scrolls Online be any different. In all honesty I had hoped Bethesda would allow Xbox One and PS4 members to play without paying for the monthly membership since
were already paying to have the game, and we could just keep paying for our Xbox Live Gold. For me I'd only be able to choose one or the other, because I'm not made of money. An I'd prefer to pay for my Xbox Live Gold, since without Xbox Live Gold I wouldn't
be able to play with friends on other games or even chat with them in parties. I LOVE ELDER SCROLLS and I've been waiting to play this game for a long while, but with a lot of the PC users downgrading so badly, it doesn't even seem like it's worth it in the
end. At least not until they fix the game up quite a bit. An I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

    :)

The Elder Scrolls Online on PS4

No news on Xbox ONE yet but a "PlayStation Plus membership is not required to play The Elder Scrolls Online. PS4 players will only be required to pay the same monthly subscription associated with The Elder Scrolls Online that PC and Mac users will pay—nothing
more". Microsoft are under pressure to match Sony on this now.

ESO costs about $15 per month (Australian) or $3.75 per week....

No offence, I realise you dont want to waste cash, but if you cant front $3.75 per week for all the online ESO action you can handle (and there will be plenty) then... well I got nothing... that is cheap... like really cheap

Going to movie - $30 for 2 to 3 hours fun.... Bowling $25 for 3 game.... night on the town at least $150

$3.75 sounds pretty darn reasonable to me......

  5. I'd be able to afford the $14.99 a month, but for me (an not trying to sound rude about this) I have a family that I have to feed, put through school, and not too mention bills. So a penny is worth more to me than most others. I enjoy playing video games
as well as my family. An with the Elder Scrolls Series being my most favorite, I would love to play Elder Scrolls Online but its kind of hard running on a short budget for gaming when you have to pay for 2 subscriptions.

Its meant to be free for the first month anyway, that alone is good. I think if you enjoy it still after that first month, its probably worth paying.

  7. Also I should state that I don't pay for the yearly subscription for Xbox Live Gold, I pay for 3 month Gold. So technically I would be paying a pretty penny to pay for Xbox Live Gold and monthly membership for ESO yearly.

Why not save money and buy 12 month? Most game's people buy they are finished with in a week, i think if you bought ESO and got a month of enjoyment before you had to start paying the monthly fee......well surely its worth getting. This is what I'm going
    to do anyway.

The Elder Scrolls Online is played through the XBox LIVE service.

So it should come as no surprise that you would need XBox LIVE for it.

Add on the "Monthly Fee" and you've got a Social Experiment to see how much money a Publisher can actually milk from players.

  10. I certainly have very little faith in whether I'm even going to buy ESO, with how everything stands as is. Especially since a lot of PC users are pretty much forsaking the game as a lost cause. An the idea that PC users can import their characters to Xbox
One or PS4 in my opinion that's just ridiculous.

I'm retired, so beside playing Golf M-F I play a lot of ESO. Almost two months in and still not bored, so much to do and see. IMO it's well worth the extra pocket change to keep playing every month.

@Kitty, I see this a lot in ESO, with some puzzles people quit thinking there is a bug, one puzzle had 4 switches but you only used three of them, one switch you pushed twice. There are several quests were you needed to do a certain things and also read
books to finish, people just give up. So far I have only found one quest that I could not finish out of over a hundred.

Seems like an easy answer to me. Responsibilities to your family >>> game subscriptions. If my money was that tight, I definitely wouldn't do it. A bigger price that some families pay is that someone pays $15 a month for a game and then really tries to
get all they can out of the game as to not waste their money. The downside is that jr wants to play catch with dad, but dad's busy raiding his hundreth cave in pixel land.

In reality Jr probably play's more game's than dad. Saying that, if I was a kid in this day and age, I'd probably want to play video games all day.
