    Is it worth sending your Xbox One to Microsoft?


    Basically, my Sunset Overdrive Bundled Xbox One arrived today and it has a high pitched noise coming from it. Now, I've had numerous Xbox One all relating to different/similar problems and I have no idea whether it's my house or whether I'm just a super
    unlucky person.

    If I sent it off for a "repair", what are the chances of me actually getting either my own WHITE console back, or a new WHITE console? The last thing I want is a normal edition sent back.

    I'll say just buy a new Xbox One, it will be much more worth your time than just sending in your current Xbox One to Microsoft for repairs.

    As far as specs go, there's no difference really except they will be much more durable than the earlier models.

    Hey there jazzybayes!

    Sorry to hear about the trouble with sending messages to your friend, are you able to receive messages from them? What happens if you try sending a message to them from Xbox.com or from your the Xbox App on a mobile device?

    With your Xbox One, it may be worth trying a quick power cycle by holding down the power button for 8-10 seconds until it powers off, then give it another go.

    As this is not always the case, it's recommended to have your profile deleted from your console before sending it in to Microsoft.

    If you go the route of sending your console to Microsoft, they will send you back a refurbished console.

    Look at the prices on the link that was provided and work out if it's worth paying the money that Microsoft are asking for them to send you a refurbished console or go for a new Xbox Series S or X.
