Is it too late to play fifa 22 now?

Well, basically this depends on you.
According to previously launch dates for the previous versions.
It seems FIFA 23 could be launched on October (FIFA 22 was launched on Oct 1 and FIFA 22 on Oct 9)
So, if you prefer you can wait for the next version, or go ahead and play the actual one (and if you have Game pass ultimate, you don't need to pay for the full game)

According to EA you won't be able to play across console generations or cross-play in FIFA 22.

You can only play with an Xbox One player if you're playing the Xbox One version on your Xbox Series X.

Mine was up n running late last night. Managed to get a bit of Fifa in before I realized I was too smashed to play..

Ok so FIFA 22 is not on game pass through the EA Play yet. For PC, you actually can purchase on the Xbox Store. Since the FIFA 22 on the xbox store is only for consoles.

In your case, you would have to purchase via Origin or Steam.

That is incorrect. FIFA 22 can be played on the older consoles, which is stated at the top of the store page. (linked here)
