Is It Really "Fallout 4"? More Like 3.5

What glitches are you talking about? I didn't even know there were leveling glitches, not like I'd use them anyway because it just defeats the whole purpose of the game and would just spoil it.

Fallout: New Vegas is more like 3.5 to every one, because it has almost everything from fallout 3 except that it has actually been fix to make more closer to the original fallout series.

Goatsnatcher - The Shipment glitches save you loads of time building things which I like since it's the most time consuming uninteresting part of the game to me. I'll tell you, Buy "shipments" of materials from whichever vender you want. At sanctuary or
anywhere with a workbench, make sure the workbench is empty of material, make sure the only thing you have in junk is the shipment. Start working on on the workbench, highlight your shipment in junk, now quickly press y and than x, it will transfer the shipment
into material and also give you your shipment back, rinse repeat until you can't move! Try this with adhesive, glass, oil and cloth. Then go and make a few thousand molitovs, all that button mashing will level you up no time.

 

Since I can't edit, I'll tell you the vendor glitch if you don't know it, lets just say I don't need any more ammo. I think these are on purpose since they are simple and really don't detract the game experience at all.

 

Oh right, I had no idea about them. Admittedly I wouldn't use them because I like the scavenging, but yeah, handy for some.

 

I actually starting to build some stuff last night, cleared an area in Sanctuary and build a large wooden shack, decided it wasn't fitting for my home and built a large metal one, thought "I will just put a bed in and leave it at that" two hours later
im in full home furnishing mode!!! That's some addictive time stealing functionality. Also spent some time modding my power armour to level B and giving it a paint job. I don't really use it but it looks good outside my new front door!!

 

@Vote don't know how much you have played, but in my opinion there are a lot less bugs in this Fallout game, iv hardly encountered any. Not saying they are eradicated but its much improved IMHO.

For a Bethesda game its pretty clean, the only bug I have come across that needed a reload was being knocked between a shelf and a wall, the physics go nuts some times mutant hounds and bos paladins seem the worst for it paladins tend to take off vertically
for about 20ft and hounds just keep on rolling, but its hardly game breaking.

 

Yeah I might be a little underwhelmed by the total offering but apart from my guy occaissiionally trying to stab himself with a stimpack one handed in VATS instead of shooting this game could not accurately be described as plagued with bugs.

Many of the people who think that Bethesda make buggy games also think that Bethesda developed "Fallout NV".

There comes a time where forgiving the faults in Bethesda RPGs has to stop.

Not really. Should it stop... perhaps, but that's subjective, obviously some people don't seem to mind. Will it stop? Who knows.

Given the age of the game engine they should have pretty much every fault ironed out, yet bugs, glitches, and errors are so expected that no-one pays them any mind because "Oh! It's a Bethesda game".

From my understanding of game debugging, it's not that easy. I remember hearing about how complex it can get with Destiny's empty rocket ammo bug. I recall reading that they hired
one of the industry's top debuggers to help with it. I believe he spent months working on just that bug, because every fix they tried created several bugs elsewhere, some game breaking. Had it not been for the number of people complaining, they would have
just left it go and shifted focus elsewhere.

Sometimes if bugs are minor and not game breaking, the better solution is to simply let it go, rather than have a cascade effect just riddle the rest of the game with more and
potentially worse problems.

In any case, the bottom line is "Had it not been for the number of people complaining".

My copy should be here today or tomorrow. I'll be playing it soon and I'll decide for myself if the bugs take enough away from the game's enjoyment that I just don't want to play
it. When... IF... I reach that point I will not buy any DLC or another sequel. When/if enough people get to that point, sales will slump. At that point and most likely only at that point, will Bethesda realize that people are done forgiving the faults.

Because people will do the one thing that always counts...

I'm thankful that I have the ability to enjoy Fallout 4 and not pick it apart. I find there to be a lot of improvements. Some people will whine over literally anything and everything, and do.

 

Yep having more fun with a game than I have had for ages, it eclipses Witcher in enjoyment purely because it's Fallout, there's just something about The Fallout vibe that I love, this game delivers it in spades. Looking forward to your evaluation Blue
as I reckon it will fair and objective. I dont think you will be disappointed personally.

 

It's little improvements for me like being inside some buildings and structures and seeing through windows or the outside world through cracks or holes, just chilling in my newly built Sanctuary home, and it full of holes I can see folk, the sky through,
unless I'm going completely senile you couldn't do that in 3 or NV. Here the bit wher everyone goes "yes you could!"
