Is it possible to use the Microsoft credits you can get for free from search...

So, starting off I got the enough amount of search points to redeem it for Microsoft Credits, and basically It won't let me use them to buy anything. There is literally no option to use your credits, and I don't know what to do, I've tried researching and that doesn't help much. I experimented attempting to buy a $1.00 Xbox gift card, and it still won't let me use credits. I need answers, can someone please help my situation here?
