Is it possible to set a single time for both dashboard and game updates?

The dashboard is offering both sets of sales to me, but that explanation for it makes the most sense. It's weird that the dashboard hasn't updated though...

Just an FYI. I have had 2 open tray errors both the same time as the dashboard upgrades. I have an older Elite system. The first time it happened was the first Kinect Update last year I can not remember the exact date. This major update same thing.
Just before the update the drive worked fine read all my games then immediately after the console rebooted after the dashboard update the drive would try to read and say open tray. Both times I followed the instructions on clearing the system cache, removing
all removable media,ect. I even tried to undo the update. Bottom line I had to send it in. They had it a few weeks then returned it to me with a note saying the console was not defective. Amazing ting the drive sounded different when I got it back and it
played all the games like it used to . I raised the question about the "timing" of this to the folks at the service center but i was told it was not possible to cause the problem it just must be the drives time to fail. Once perhaps, but twice after major
updates. Search around there are hundreds of posts about this issue but not a single person will acknowledge the issue. As far as I know it only effects older units. I have not seen any posts about this problem on the new style consoles. Good luck, I

I was having the same issue, not seeing Zombie mode in the game. Went back to the Dashboard > System Settings > Games and deleted both Zombie mode and the title update. Started the game, which applied the update again. Then back to the dashboard and download
history to re-download the Zombie mode. Started the game again and Zombie mode worked!

It's not possible. Every single game has it's own settings for this.

I doubt you would be credit banned from just installing the update. But you can be credit banned for dashboarding out of a match too many times. Is it possible that you dashboarded a couple of times before and then when you were prompted to install the update,
that was the one that put you over the top?
