Is it possible to own several copies of a game on Xbox?

I received GoW4 in my lootcrate but it didn't include the older games of the series. I would buy GoW4 again to receive them, but only if I get another key that I may give to someone.

Two consoles, same house, sharing issue.

With physical copies you would need two copies of the game. You have to have the disc in the drive in order to verify that you own the game, so it would not be possible to have the game running on two consoles with 1 disc.

Caddahaulic- That is one of those things that I think they are having to work on. It seriously would not be in anybodies best interests if a parent had to buy multiple copies of a game so it could be played in several rooms in your own house at the same
time.

There isn't an option to own two digital copies of a game on one account. If you received a disc version of Gears of War 4, you should be able to purchase a digital copy of it.

It's not a problem as you own a disk copy of the game I also have several games that are both on disk and Game Pass think of the disk as a backup copy

Black Ops runs on its own dedicated severs, it is very much possible to buy a copy that has no Steam integration. However you are quite correct that it also has nothing to do with Live.

Possibly....I was just presuming based on the "I own several games on Xbox" and that the OP owned the games outright rather than having them on GP.
