Is it possible to have two Profiles with one MS account? HELP!

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are having issue with an account. It is not possible to have two profiles under one Microsoft account. Here lies the problem, in order to recover an account you need to know the email at least. However
there is another way, if you or your children remember their gamertag. This is the name used on the Xbox you may be able to find out the email for the accounts by requesting a call from support. If they can verify the account, they can give you the information.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

• Step 1 ----click on Contact us
  
• Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
  
• Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next
  
  Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

Are you using an Xbox one?

An Xbox 360?

Xbox 360s have the capability to have what are called offline profiles that are not connected to MS accounts.

Accounts on Xbox Ones have to have a MS account attached to them.

If you are on an Xbox one then that means you have two different MS accounts if the one that you put gift card on the computer you would have needed to be signed into the account that was attached to your Xbox One profile.

Basically you can have a Microsoft (MS) account without having a Xbox profile attached to it. But you can not have an Xbox profile without having a MS account on the Xbox Ones. On the 360s you could have local profiles that were only attached to that console.
Assuming you had an email and password attached to this xbox profile then it was attached to a MS account.

There is two ways for a MS account to get a Xbox profile attached to it and this is done automatically

1. Signing into any Xbox console.

2. Signing into account.xbox.com



If a Xbox profile is not already attached to the MS account when you sign into either one of these places the system will automatically generate a gamertag for that account and attaches that Xbox profile to that MS account.

What you are asking for is not possible. And no, MS will not just allow one or two people the ability to do this. An XBL profile can only be signed into XBL at one time on one device. There is no work around for this.
