    Is it possible to buy Xbox One games through Xbox 360?


    We currently own Xbox 360 and are Xbox Live Gold members. Our kids are getting Xbox One for Christmas though.

    We have read about the Black Friday sales where games will be heavily discounted. So my question is this, is is possible to purchase digital Xbox One games before we actually have the One console?

    Can we purchase through the 360 and just not download it until we're ready with the One console?

    Or can we purchase through our computer and then again, download them when we get the One console set up?

    Thanks for any advise anyone can offer.

    Game on hard drive to an empty disc

    I have the game GTA4: TBOGT game downloaded on my hard drive. Is it possible to download it onto an empty disc so I can play it with the disc? I purchased the game through the Xbox marketplace but I want to play it on the disc without having to buy another
    one. Is that possible? Thanks!

    You can purchase the games with gold games for the One on the 360, but not other games. You can purchase Xbox One games via the website though and they should show as ready to install when you get the console.

    That is very helpful actually I didn't realise that buying some DLC is not possible though Xbox 360 emulation on the Xbox One. With this is mind, if I were to buy the DLC content on a standalone Xbox 360, would I be able to play the DLC (bought on the

    It says that the console for those games is the xbox 360 and that if I buy it there, then they will be automatically downloaded on a 360. Sadly, I don't have a 360, so is it actually possible for me to play those games on the xbox one?

    @GITS09 Unfortunately you cannot buy Xbox 360 games directly through the One marketplace. You need to do it through a 360 console or the website.
