Is it possible the change the email of an Xbox account? But splitting the accounts....

Hey all,

Just curious to see if it was possible to change the email of an Xbox account to a new email but keep all the Microsoft-related data on the old email? So purely changing the Xbox email to a new one. Will this clear my game data, downloaded apps, achievements etc.?

The Microsoft account is basically the following

Xbox account

Email account

Skype account

Teams account

Office 365 account

and much more, they are all one in the same and cannot be seperated.

Unfortunately the thing you want is not possible
This is due to Xbox profile is attached to the Microsoft account itself

And content /info/ purchases is not transferible between Microsoft accounts

Sorry, no. You cannot split the achievements and game progress. As far as I know it also isn’t possible to change email addresses on accounts either. You could possibly change the account to a child account and create yourself a new one.
